What is a market?

A market is any single jurisdiction where you have a tax obligation and need to register and file. Each US state where you're registered counts as one market. Internationally, the definition follows how tax authorities structure compliance: federal GST/HST, the three Canadian provinces with their own provincial sales tax (BC, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan), and Quebec — which has its own QST — each count as separate markets.In the EU, filing through the One Stop Shop (OSS) counts as one market. Most other countries count individually.

To make it concrete: if you're registered in California, New York, Texas, and the UK, you're in four markets.

How is Anrok's pricing calculated?

Anrok charges a flat fee per market per month. On the Starter plan, you pay $100 per market per month. On the Custom plan, pricing scales with your total transaction volume, and the team will quote you based on your sales. Both plans include the full Anrok platform, with no extra charges for calculations, filings, or core features.

What does the Starter plan include?

Starter covers everything you need to stay compliant: global exposure monitoring, real-time tax calculation, filing and remittance, exemption certificate management, and physical nexus tracking, all for $100 per market per month. It's built for founders and early teams who want compliance handled end-to-end from their first sale.

When does it make sense to move to the Custom plan?

If you’re operating at global scale, have complex systems or structures, or are heading towards a major financial event like an IPO, our custom plan is tailored to your needs. Our current customers on our custom plans often utilize solutions for audit-ready reporting, advanced connectivity to external systems, and take advantage of priority technical and tax expert support so they can scale their business without scaling their tax team.

Are there any additional fees beyond the per-market price?

On the Custom plan, you get everything for a single per-market rate with no surprise add-ons for standard features. On the Starter plan, sellers with high transaction volumes may be subject to additional fees to cover 3rd party fees we may incur. All costs will be clearly outlined to you by your account representative before you make any commitments.

What happens to my price as I expand into new markets?

Each new market you activate adds one per-market fee to your monthly bill. When you're ready to expand, Anrok handles registration and compliance setup in the new market automatically. No per-filing charges, and no hidden fees for activating a new jurisdiction.
